What a Privelege!
The name of Jesus is famous; he’s known all over the world. He is a person with an identity that people talk about, praise and worship. Do you know what a privilege it is to carry his Name? The name Jesus is above every other name in heaven and earth; there is no other name by which men can be promised eternal life. He is the very Creator of the universe and of every living thing.
Once you open your heart to him, you come into a covenant relationship with him. You’ve taken his name, therefore you carry his name as a bride takes on her husband’s surname, signifying that you belong to him and are part of his family. Everything he has now belongs to you because you have legally become one.
At the name of Jesus, you have been given authority over all the power of the enemy. There is power in the name of Jesus because there is power in his person. You cannot separate a man from his name. When you say the name Jesus, remember He is the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end, the author and the finisher of your faith. The name of Jesus saves, delivers, heals, rescues and makes whole. It is peace and gives life. It raises that life, brings it to perfection and completes it. Jesus, himself, is the end point of perfection.
When you pray in his name, he listens to the voice of your cry because you are coming in his righteousness, not your own. The Holy Spirit anointed Jesus and his name carries supernatural power, hope and healing for a broken world.
As a carrier of his name, you too can bring rest, peace and comfort to others. As you go into the world and carry his name, remember that his fragrance and presence is being poured out through you. What an honor and a gift it is to carry the glorious Name of Jesus!
